CAN MY FEAR REALLY BE CURED?

I've taught many people to fly who initially had this fear, and / or also got severe motion sickness. It is absolutely conquerable. One of my favorite success students was a 67 year old grandmother that got motion sickness, was petrified of heights, was totally uneducated, un-technical and had never been anything other than a housewife all her life BUT she was determined to lick those problems and show her family and the rest of the world that she was somebody capable of being far more than anyone believed or gave her credit for. If she could do it, anyone can. Sometimes it takes the right instructor with the right approach, but you CAN do it. Heck, I'm afraid of heights myself, like I can't calmly stand right at the edge of a balcony on a tall building without being a bit squeamish, but flying is no problem for me. I don't particularly like being closed in either, but flying is somehow different. Do you feel claustrophobic in a car when you're the driver? Probably not. The same goes for flying a plane. Look up aerobatic champion Sean D. Tucker, arguably the best aerobatic pilot in the world right now and one of the best who has ever lived. He took up aerobatic flying to conquer exactly the same fears you have. Fact. Go for it.
