My wife is having affair with a police officer. Can i pin the police down with charges?

Could he be discharged from service? What can i do to get even with this man? This man has tried to eliminate me by paying 50K to a certain hitman to kill me. Should i retaliate back? I have offers to turn the table and get even. But im confused. As for my wife, she denies the fact that his police officer wanted to kill me. I love my wife despite of everything.
