I want one of my close friends become my gf. How do I do it?

Recently I was sent to the hospital because my friend called the cops. She thought I was going to commit suicide (which I was). She is a great friend and everything but I want her as more. I've tried to tell her how I feel but she doest feel the same way. What do I do?
