Is he interested if he texted me then? after 2 weeks?

So we were starting as fwb, then i guess we misunderstood each other and each started doing our own thing. I texted him last around the holidays and never heard back so I let it be. He ended up texting me yesterday but then i responded and didn't hear back for like hours later. * It was extremely late as it was, so it could have been or was a call but then I don't know what happened. is he still interested then? I'm confused.
